Rev Vusi M Vilakati (BA Hons, MA Theology, MPhil Leadership)

Rev Vilakati and his family have been part of the Bethesda Methodist family from January 2019. He has been in the Methodist Ministry for 18 years. He has served multicultural congregations around Gauteng. His experience covers congregational leadership, pastoral counselling, Church HR matters, doctrine, ethics and policy development, as well as lecturing and facilitation both within the church and in the public space. Rev Vilakati is married to Lindo and they have 4 beautiful children. His best and memorable experiences are times with his family.

Vusi is passionate about spirituality, socio-economic justice, diversity, and social cohesion, leadership facilitation and African human consciousness. He believes communities of faith have a central in creating a healthy society. He sees compassionate living as foundational to holistic Christian living.

Rev Thabiso Mcinga

Born to a mother of three, Rev Mcinga pulls much of her strength from her family as a pillar.

Rev Mcinga joined the Bethesda Methodist Mission as a resident minister at the start of January 2019, previously been stationed within the Central Synod as a Chaplain to university students at both University of Johannesburg and the University of Witwatersrand. Her theological education and formation has been obtained through the University of KwaZulu Natal and the Set Mokitimi Methodist Seminary, respectively. The years in ministry has offered space and opportunities to labour in ministries of youth and children within the synods she’s had been a part of.

“My strong convictions on matters of human dignity informs the various spaces that one is involved in with an ultimate goal of social holiness. Thus, I always seek to serve to the best of my ability with humility and faithfulness to God.” – says Thabiso.
